Reprise 1

Sunday October 18, 2015, 4 pm @ The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill

An afternoon concert featuring a new work of Stratis Minakakis (whose Monteverdi Responsories was received so enthusiastically in The Month of Moderns 2014), inspired by his experience of watching the seemingly endless march of Syrian refugees across the Greek isle of Lesbos last summer. We will also reprise three commissions by some of The Crossing’s closest friends, a seminal work by Eriks Esenvalds that began our long association with him, and the first work The Crossing sang in public on November 8, 2005: Gabriel Jackson’s A Prayer for Peace.

Please join us for an open rehearsal Wednesday October 14, 7-8:30pm at Stotesbury Mansion, 1923 Walnut Street, Philadelphia.  Join the Facebook event.

Pre-concert talk with Donald at 3pm in Burleigh Cruikshank Memorial Chapel.
